On the occasion of the publication of her selection of poems by Sales Publishers in Tehran, Iran, 2021, Dr Zahra Taheri sat down with Dr Ali Zarrin to discuss her early interest in Persian poetry and her lasting involvement in reading and writing poetry in Persian. She also speaks about her interactions with other prominent Iranian poets and writers, especially while she was teaching at the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Taheri also explains about her books and articles on Persian classical authors and poets, especially Rumi. She presents her views on contemporary Persian poets and discusses the effects of immigration to different countries on her poetry. Finally, throughout she expresses her lifelong love for teaching, especially teaching Persian literature.

** Dr. Ali Zarrin is an internationally published & translated Iranian American bilingual poet, author, and translator. He has a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Washington at Seattle, USA. He taught English and Middle Eastern literature at several American universities and colleges.
